Alex started working in clay in high school and went on to attend University of Northern Colorado in pursuit of a degree in ceramics. Currently, she is an artist-in -residence and instructor at Smokestack Pottery here in Fort Collins. Alex's designs focus on carved botanical surfaces on curvy functional wares. She carves all of her surface imagery by hand to create a signature style and make each finished piece unique. You’ will find vase, cups, bowls, mugs, bakeware, and even a lamp added to her display.
