Fused glass is an excellent medium for crafting art that can be both beautiful and practical. The process involves cutting, grinding, stacking, and shaping the glass to achieve a variety of impressive effects. After hours or even days spent fusing, slumping, and annealing, opening the kiln always brings excitement. Because the kilns are computer-controlled, factors like temperature, speed, and soak time remain fairly consistent and predictable. The results can feel magical—sometimes aligning perfectly with expectations, and other times offering delightful surprises.
